On Android, scanning for and identifying nearby WiFi networks requires the location permission — this is an Android system requirement, not a choice. The app uses location only to scan WiFi and does not track or store where you are.
The app reads WiFi credentials your device has saved for networks you previously connected to, and shows them to you on your device. They are not uploaded anywhere. Availability depends on your device and Android version.
Open the QR tools, generate a QR code for your network, and let a friend scan it — they connect without typing the password. You can also scan someone else's WiFi QR code to join instantly.

Yes — the app is free and supported by ads.
If a consent prompt appeared when you first opened the app, you can decline personalized ads there. You can also reset or opt out of your Advertising ID in Android via Settings → Privacy → Ads. Clearing app data lets the prompt appear again.
Clear the app's storage or uninstall it to remove saved data on your device. To request deletion of any data held by our partners, email us and we'll respond within 30 days.
